Aji Charapita is known as the most expensive, and one of the best tasting chilis in the world and highly valued by Gourmets and Chefs worldwide.
Every step of growing, harvesting and processing Charapitas needs to be done by hand, and it is very delicate, time consuming and very labor intense.
Therefor Aji Charapita usually only grows wild. The only place outside of Peru where it is grown commercially is Charapita Farms in Miami, Florida.
