If a reaction occurs during the patch test (intense stinging, irritation, rash, or a burning sensation on the skin) rinse skin immediately and discontinue use. If client experiences mild respiratory irritation, he/she should seek immediate medical attention and consult a physician prior to having the service again. If, during the days following the patch test, itching, redness, or spots on the skin occurs, or swelling of the eyes, face, or skin occurs, the client should consult a physician.
